About Us

Our Story

Mydflower was founded in the lockdown of 2020 by two friends united by a passion for nature, summer, myth, and an ice cold drink to wash it all down.

We make our drinks at Graig, a hill farm in the Brecon Beacons near the ancient village of Myddfai, a place rich in  folklore, and once a centre of natural medicine and healing.

Graig has become a project in wilding and ecology. We share our home with sheep, bees, mushrooms, moths, and over two thousand other species - a number that the project is actively working to increase. It's a place where you feel distant from the noise and haste of modern life, and closer to your roots. It forms an important part of our sustainability mission.

Our first year of production saw us driving down tiny roads straining our eyes for white sprays of elderflower, juicing thousands of lemons by hand, wrapping our IBC tanks in duvets when the temperature dropped to freezing, and returning home to our tent in a wildflower meadow in the small hours every night with a big smile. As the business grows, we strive to retain this organic, personal quality that can only be found by observing and doing with your own eyes and hands.

Elderflower Sparkling Wine

Two cans of Mydflower elderflower sparkling wine with a background of sky, grass, and stone

In the days before clocks and calendars, we marked the passing of the seasons through our senses. Then, British summer began when elderflowers returned to hedgerows, and ended when the berries ripened.

Mydflower is a celebration of the rebirth of summer, capturing that evocative taste in a can.

Our Elderflower Sparkling Wine balances dry and sweet, with a heady elder fragrance, refreshing but intoxicating at 5.3%. It is made with wild elderflowers, Welsh mountain spring water, and fresh lemon in the Brecon Beacons, nurtured by hand in small batches.

It's a lovely alternative to beer and cider - low sugar, gluten free, low alcohol, preservative free - a true natural sparkling wine. It's best enjoyed where there's grass and sun to be found, so find yourself a a nice field to sit in and crack one open!

David

Co-founder

For David, job satisfaction means variety. His work has spanned the tech startup world in Amsterdam, to business analysis in the hotels industry,  marketing, copywriting, tutoring, and law. This breadth of projects has been the perfect experience to trade it all in for running his own business with an old friend. His office work includes marketing, project management, compliance. He's allowed out once a year, in May, to direct his experience in home brewing to oversee the production of thousands of litres of elderflower sparkling wine.
